Bashir Lazhar is the eager substitute teacher of a traumatized grade six class. Dispensing with conventional teaching methods, he tries to prepare his students for an unpredictable world. Written by renowned Quebec playwright Evelyne de la Chenelière, and translated by Morwyn Brebner who brought us The Optimists and Little Mercy’s First Murder.
