Christine Quintana

Canada Council Playwright in Residence – 2019

Christine is an actor, playwright, and co-Artistic Producer of Delinquent Theatre. Christine received the 2017 Siminovitch Protege Prize for Playwriting from Marcus Youssef, and was the Urjo Kareda Emerging Artist Resident at Tarragon Theatre.  Playwriting highlights include Selfie (commissioned by Théâtre la Seizième in French, and Young People’s Theatre in English, winner of the Dora Mavor Moore Award for Outstanding TYA Play, and the Sydney Risk Prize for Outstanding Script by an Emerging Playwright); writing, producing, and performing in Stationary: A Recession-Era Musical (winner of the Jessie Richardson Theatre Award for Outstanding Musical, Small Theatre); and creating/performing in Never The Last (co-created with Molly MacKinnon) at the rEvolver Theatre Festival, produced by Delinquent Theatre in association with Electric Company Theatre, developed at the 2016 Banff Playwrights Colony. She holds a BFA in Acting from the University of British Columbia.  Christine lives on the unceded territories of the Coast Salish people, also known as Vancouver.
