Donald Woo is a Chinese French-Canadian playwright who was born and raised in the Montreal area. He attended the playwriting section of the National Theatre School of Canada from 1998-2000 and dropped out to live and work in London and eventually Paris. He was fu-GEN’s playwright-in-residence for three seasons spanning from 2009 until 2012. In 2010/2011 he was Associate Artistic Director at Cahoots Theatre Company. He is currently developing, with fu-GEN Theatre, Three Years Eight Months, a three play cycle exploring the Canadian experience in Asia during the Second World War.
