We are delighted to welcome you back to our theatre! The safety of our audience, artists, volunteers and staff is our number one priority. We have put in place a number of measures as part of our reopening plan, and we thank you in advance for your cooperation.


All visitors and staff are required to be fully vaccinated to enter Tarragon Theatre. Be prepared to show your vaccination certificate and photo ID when you arrive.

Exceptions may be made for those who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons. These patrons will need to provide a doctor’s note and a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of attending the theatre.


All visitors and staff will be required to wear a mask that fully covers the nose, mouth and chin at all times during their visit to the theatre. Masks should fit snugly against the face without gaps; cloth masks should have at least two layers of fabric. Neck gaiters and bandanas are not permitted.


Electronic tickets will be encouraged as a means of entry. Simply present your tickets on your mobile device when entering the theatre. If you do not have a mobile device you may print your electronic tickets at home prior to arrival. Box Office ticket pick up is available upon request.


Our live performances will have a reduced capacity, which is subject to change according to current public health regulations.


We ask that you use the hand sanitizer provided as you enter the theatre. Sanitizer can also be found at designated points throughout the building.


The theatre lobby, including access to washrooms, will open one hour prior to show time. Mainspace and Extraspace shows will have staggered start times.

Ticket holders will be assigned an arrival time on the day of the performance. 

The bar/concessions will remain closed for now.


Enhanced cleaning measures have been put into place before and after each performance. Common contact surfaces and washrooms are regularly sanitised by our cleaning team.


Our HVAC units have been updated with HEPA filters and UV light to filter and sanitize the air throughout the building.


We pride ourselves on offering the most flexible ticket policies. If you need to cancel your tickets, we are offering ticket exchanges, credit certificates for future ticket purchases or a full refund up to 24 hours prior to the date and time of your performance.

The COVID-19 Tarragon Ticket Guarantee is available to all patrons with paid tickets to shows at Tarragon. Our goal is to be as flexible as possible in order to provide you with the assurance to make ticket purchases with confidence.

  • If any level of government puts any restrictions in place prohibiting large gatherings at venues and your show is canceled you will receive, at your request, a credit certificate or a full refund for that performance.
  • If your show is postponed or rescheduled, we will automatically move your tickets to a new date; however, you will still have the option of asking for a credit certificate or a full refund for that performance.
  • If you, or any member of your party, are in quarantine or isolation, have come in close contact with someone with COVID-19, are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 or have tested positive for COVID-19, do not visit the theatre. If you cannot visit the theatre for the above reasons, we can offer ticket exchanges, credit certificates or a full refund up to 12 hours prior to the date on your tickets.
