Ian Lake is a Toronto based actor and musician, best known for his work on the stage at the Stratford Festival, and Mirvish Theatre. Career highlights include playing the title role in Stratford’s most recent productoin of Macbeth, and playing the lead role of ‘Guy’ in the Mirvish’s production of the hit musical Once, and originating the role of Jonny in the Tarragon Theatre’s production of This Is War. Other selected theatre highlights: Mortimer in Mary Stuart, Orestes in Elektra, Joey in The Homecoming (Stratford), Dan in The Valley (Tarragon Theatre), Freddie in For This Moment Alone (Aquarius). Ian also has an extensive career in Film and Television. Select highlights include: The Art of Racing in the Rain (20th Century Fox), Trapped: The Alex Cooper Story (Lifetime), Mary Kills People (Global, Lifetime), Workin’ Mom’s (CBC), Bitten (SyFy, Space), Ransom (CBS). Ian is set to record an EP, this fall/winter of all the songs written in covid isolation during this godawful year.
