Jeff Ho


Jeff is so grateful to be a recipient of the Bulmash-Siegel Award at the Tarragon. He is a Toronto-based theatre artist, originally from Hong Kong. 

Favourite acting credits include: Ophelia in Prince Hamlet (Why Not Theatre), trace (Factory’s theatre/b current), Hana’s Suitcase (Tour: Toronto/Montreal/Seattle/YPT), Unknown Soldier (lemontree/Architect Theatre), Murderers Confess at Christmastime (OutsideTheMarch), Taming of the Shrew, Romeo and Juliet (Repercussion Theatre), The Handmaid’s Tale (Hulu), Orphan Black (BBC America). Most recently, Jeff was touring in Prince Hamlet, directed by Ravi Jain:  Banff Centre (Banff, Alberta), Canadian Stage (Toronto), PuSh Festival (Vancouver) and the National Arts Centre (Ottawa).

Upcoming: A remount and tour of his debut play, trace, produced by Factory Theatre, as part of the National Arts Centres 50th Anniversary Season (2019/2020).

As a playwright, his works include the critically-acclaimed Iphigenia and the Furies (On Taurian Land), produced by Saga Collectif; Antigone: 方, produced by Young People’s Theatre; and trace, produced by Factory Theatre/ b current performing arts. He has held residencies with the Stratford Festival, Nightswimming, Cahoots, the Banff Playwrights Lab, and Factory Theatre. trace will be published by Playwrights Canada Press, as part of their 19/20 Fall Catalogue.

Jeff has been twice nominated for a Dora Mavor Moore Award for Performance, has been awarded a Harold Award (House of Nadia Ross), and is a graduate of the National Theatre School.
