Laurence Dauphinais

Laurence is a graduate of the National Theater School of Canada’s acting program, and works in multidisciplinary creation as an actor, author and director. After premiering at the Festival Trans Amériques, Laurence’s solo piece Siri has toured internationally to cities such as Rio De Janeiro, Edinburgh and Dublin. After co-directing iShow, a performative theatre piece that toured Europe for a couple years, she’s recently co-written and directed Aalaapi at the Theatre Centre du théâtre d’aujourd’hui (CTDA). The piece won the Playwrights prize at CTDA in 2019 and will be presented at the Theatertreffen in Berlin as well as at the FTA, Carrefour and NAC in 2021. She is now dedicating her time to her next co-creation with Maxime Carbonneau that will premiere at the FTA 2021 as well as working on her piece Cyclorama a Centaur and CTDA co-production that will premiere in the fall 2021. Laurence is also an active tv and film actor and the recipient of a Gemini Award for her performance in the TV5 project Listen To This Story
