Nicole Joy-Fraser

Nicole Joy-Fraser (Bear clan; Settler, Dene Zaa, Nehiyaw and Métis) is an award-winning, Niagara-based, performing artist who has been storytelling for stage and screen across Turtle Island and beyond. She has collaborated with many celebrated companies such as as Mirvish Productions (Mamma Mia! Original Cast/ US Tour), Factory Theatre, Native Earth, Red Sky, The Blyth Festival, The Charlottetown Festival, Nightwood, Talk is Free, Eclipse Theatre, The Toronto Symphony Orchestra, The 2010 Vancouver Cultural Olympiad, CBC, and Telefilm.  Nicole also enjoyed making her West End debut in the multi-award-winning Jerry Springer-the Opera before touring the UK with Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.  Nicole is grateful to have previously worked with Tarragon and PlayME on the audio play Seven Stories last fall, recently appeared on TV in the CBS series “Clarice”and is looking forward to playing “Annie Cook” in the outdoor production of The Rez Sisters at Stratfest this summer.
