East of Tarragon

(formerly the Scarborough Project)

The East of Tarragon program is designed to help young people and community members gain a deeper understanding of themselves and others through storytelling. It is a launchpad for young creators and affirms that their ideas are valued and their perspectives are important.

Possibilities from the Future

In this bold initiative Tarragon is offering unique access to the creative process of Canadian playwrights from inspiration to page. Featuring a five minute playlet read by the playwright themselves, a breakdown of where their inspiration stemmed from, and a deep dive into the process of researching and creating each piece,  students will get a behind the scenes look at the works of the artists.
